Just another day on the savannah

So, I was wandering around and I found this lion looking out over his territory. Naturally, I thought the best way to approach was to sneak up on him – what could possibly go wrong? (It was either that or run at him yelling “kitty!” – I thought this would work better.)

Sneaking up on kitty

It took a little while, but now we’re the best of friends. He gives the very best cuddles.

Cuddles

He even supports my shopping habits. As out of control as they can be at times. You can get your own lion at the Zodiac event – if you can get there before it closes tonight. I’ve been having problems teleporting. It’s from Studio Sidhe – I don’t know if it will be available after the event. My shoes (Handverk) and skin (Candydoll) are also from the Zodiac event. I think the awesomeness of the shoes are pretty self-explanatory… they’re claw pumps!

Now, for a closer view of this great new skin from Candydoll. The eye shading is so wonderfully dreamy and soft. I did add freckles from Essences and Glam Affair, but that’s it. My favorite feature though, has got to be the mouth. The barest hint of teeth opens the mouth just enough, but not too much – you know what I mean?

Candydoll Leo

The top is from Vintage Fair – the pants are from Maitreya.  I’ll add credits shortly!

Dahlinks… so good to see you

Dahlings, so good to see you. Remember Hair Fair ends today, and while most of the hair available will be in main stores shortly, the free gifts likely will not.

Hello Dahling

So, go check out Hair Fair, if you haven’t already. Also, if you want to be like Edna, dahling, and also try epoque’s colors, hurry over and pick up their gift.

Bandana Day

Hair Fair 2012 is coming to a close today, which means it’s also bandana day – time to take off our virtual wigs to remove our hair and show we care.*

Bandana Day!

If you want to purchase a bandana and participate, they can be found on any of the four Hair Fair sims (Garden, Sand, Flower, Water) in the Wigs for Kids booth. The bandanas available were created by incredibly talented designers and bloggers, and each are only 50L (and transferable!).

Peaceful bandana day

I knew I wanted to combine the beautiful scarf bandana from Lelutka with this great Summery dress from Maitreya. The dress has been sitting in my inventory for a while just waiting for a chance to show up in a picture.
*A paraphrasing of the Hair Fair slogan for Bandana Day – I didn’t come up with it on my own, I’m not that clever.

Once I got this outfit together, I realized I styled Wednesday Addams for the beach… which isn’t a problem, it’s just a little funny. For a closeup of this gorgeous essences skin, click over to my Flickr.

Staying In

Okay, a couple of things to get back in the blogging frame of mind…

GSpot Organics is a store that’s new to me, but I really like what I’ve seen so far. They have a mini dress out at One Voice with quite a few options – the fine knit version is my favorite. I was going to wear it out, but it’s late, so I think I’m going to be staying in tonight… man, I’m old.

Staying In

You really really want to see the back of this hair – it’s so pretty! I took a picture – it’s on my Flickr.

Speaking of, the gift from Exile at Hair Fair 2012 is basically the same as the hair above, but with different bangs (and streaks). It comes in 4 tones, which pretty much cover the whole range – check them out:

Exile Gift at Hair Fair

I don’t think I need to say anything more about One Voice than has already been said. Except, maybe, that it’s ending tonight – everything is still up as of right now, but you might want to hurry. The SLurl is below.

And then I collapsed.

There really isn’t anything else like it…

My best friend spent most of the day controlling my television, which can be one of the most boring things ever. While we have a lot in common, she has a penchant for watching reality TV that can be just painful. There’s only so many times I can watch the Real Housecats of San Bernadino before I want to claw my eyes out. It usually leaves me sitting around wondering when can we ever do something else.

There MUST be something better to watch...

Not that I do much other than watch TV when I’m alone. But I think that has a lot to do with my never getting to choose what’s on my television – like ever. When I do get to choose, it’s almost always something on one of the history channels. There’s this channel – the whole channel is like a train wreck. It’s the “wealth” channel on cable. I don’t know if you’ve watched it, but it often has programs like you’d find on the history channel – you know, when it still showed stuff about history instead of reality shows. Anyway, it had a show on about Roman history and I couldn’t stop myself from watching. I tried, but I couldn’t stop.

Dubious

I’m a little dubious of their “sources” – it’s like facts had no bearing on the show.I’m not talking about little mixups, but mis-identifying emperors, or who built the Coliseum – you know, little things like that. They’re a TV show, they should check their facts – in my humble opinion. And where do they find their “academincs”? Seriously, who would hire these people? Sigh.

Hey…June?

A new dress from Celoe, new boots from Ingenue, and a long loved bag from Maitreya… what more could I ask for in life – okay, probably a lot (not having to work, all that good stuff) – but a fun outfit is definitely enough to make today a very good day.

On my way

I love mesh, it’s so wonderful. I know the drawbacks, and I’ve had a couple of problems with fitting, but I am very lucky in that I haven’t had to mod my shape much (well, once alpha layers are firmly in place). Although, I tend to think of little adjustments as the way different fabrics fit in the physical world. [Like wearing a wonderbra.]

In any case… I should also note that the mustard variation of the Jude boot is the Culture Shock donation item from Ingenue. Super cute!

Okay, that was exhausting!

Whew!

Dance animations – several, in fact – and sits (for when you collapse from all that dancing) are included in the Loungin’ Floor Pillow from {what next}. The yellow version is a donation item at Culture Shock.
