Hair Love
Hi, my name is Daybreak and I’m addicted to virtual hair. Whew, I feel so much better after admitting that!
I love hair – long, short, curly, straight – all kinds. I especially love it when I find a hair attachment that makes me want to never take it off. That’s exactly what happened with this hair from Action. Well, actually, I shouted “Huzzah, it must be mine!” and then proceeded to have to explain to anyone around me why I just shouted that. (In case you’re curious, it’s a reflex. I blame John Kovalic and Dork Tower.)
This skin? My favorite from al Vulo. It was a special skin for The Fashion Garrett. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a full line of this skin – at least, I can’t find one at the mainstore. If I’m wrong about that, I would really appreciate if someone would let me know! (Or if one of the other skins at al Vulo is a good match, that would work too.) It has all of the great points I’m looking for in a skin and I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t find more options.
I know, I know, I could add makeup layers, but I haven’t found lipsticks that work well on multiple skins – does that make sense?

It’s HOT Outside
It’s hot outside, and not in a good way. Don’t get me wrong, I like Summer, or I liked Summer back in the day. I think it was a Wednesday. Anyway, it’s hot and humid, and when things get hot and humid, the only thing you can do is wear as little as possible.

Project FUR…
All the cute, fuzzy animals need our help and lots of people have been showing you how you can contribute. I have peppered a few items from Project FUR through my past few posts, but I want to show you some of my favorite things available at the main event. This dress is beautifully made. A lot of times it is hard to find a glitch layer and prim that actually blend together well. Not just because of a grey-ing issue, but they just don’t always seem to “fit”. That is never the case with anything I have worn from Appolonia Criss of Chantkare.
This sweater looks so comfortable and I LOVE this skin. I only hope that LAQ releases a full line after Project FUR is complete.
I feel like a ballerina.

Fashion for life finds…
It is the last day of the Fashion for Life event, so if there are any last minute items you want to pick up, now is the time to do it.
I picked up a bunch of stuff this year, and have littered my Flickr with pictures of my finds.
Some are exclusives like the Purple Moon Marilyn gown in burgundy, the Zaara dress below, and the Poetic Colors eyes (they are so beautiful) – and others are like this dress fromBOOM which is a standard, but with proceeds going toward a great cause – and one very close to my heart.

Plum Fun
I loved putting together this plum look for Luna Jubilee’s 52 weeks of color challenge. One of the things that I really like about this challenge is that I have come to discover that what I think of as being a certain color (like “plum” for instance!), can be very different from what other people consider the same color. Now, I’m not talking about different shades of the same color – there is a pretty large spectrum of what I consider any given color – but totally different colors. That’s what is really fun to me – taking one concept (in this case, a color name and idea swatch) and seeing how other people interpret it (other designers in what they have for sale and other bloggers in how they put it together). It is like looking into someone else’s head for a minute…
it’s always interesting to see what you find.

52 Weeks of Color – Jumping on Board
So, I’ve found if I have a challenge, or just a topic in mind, I’m not sitting at the screen trying on odds and ends forever, which is only part of the reason I thought it would be fun to join in on the 52 weeks of color blogger challenge. I like blogger challenges, maybe because I’ve felt myself lacking focus in so many things lately. But… I’ve also met myself. If it’s more than a week, I don’t think I can do a post a day, so a weekly challenge sounded about the right speed.
I’m sure you’ve seen – this week’s theme is Grey. Surprisingly, I had a hard time putting this together – not because I don’t like grey, in fact I love the color, but I made a deal with myself that when I was shopping I would try to get colors I didn’t always pick up… apparently I did better with this than I thought.
Anyway, this also gave me a chance to show off one of the things I LOVE about my house. I have this sofa/loveseat thing (from MudHoney from last Christmas) that has this really fun animation in-between the other animations. So, every time you switch positions, you do a dance – and if more than one person is on the couch, you synchronize your dancing. Sometimes, I just switch positions all night to watch the dance and subsequent collapse onto the couch.
I’m a simple person, little things amuse me.
