There’s a lot I could say about Mila Tatham’s “Non Sono una Signora”, but I think I’ll let it speak for itself.
Okay, enough of that. I love this. I love the way it came together, but mostly I love the dress and the headpiece. They remind me of Rome, actually, and how you can walk down the street and into a random Church and there is an original painting most people only see in textbooks, just on the wall. When I first moved there, I didn’t get that. It weirded me out that these priceless works of art were just sitting there, not in a museum.
What I began to understand, though, is that the art doesn’t belong in a museum. The whole city is a museum (of sorts). Art belongs where it is intended by the artist – whether it is on the wall of a Church, or being worn by someone walking down the street. Everything is an exhibition. That’s something I have missed since I left.

I’ve always been torn about some things. I like the convenience of cities, but I like the quiet of small towns. I even like getting lost from time to time, but I tend to think that the more lost you get, the more you can find yourself.
One note: this is the usual windlight setting with local lights turned. More pics with and without local lights on my Flickr.

All the cute, fuzzy animals need our help and lots of people have been showing you how you can contribute. I have peppered a few items from Project FUR through my past few posts, but I want to show you some of my favorite things available at the main event. Like with RFL, I will add mainstore links after the event is finished, but for now, go check out Project FUR!
This dress is beautifully made. A lot of times it is hard to find a glitch layer and prim that actually blend together well. Not just because of a grey-ing issue, but they just don’t always seem to “fit”. That is never the case with anything I have worn from Appolonia Criss of Chantkare.

I feel like I’m on Saved by the Bell or something. And it’s awesome!!!
So, while I go listen to some Bon Jovi and NKOTB on my way to the Max, we need to remember that today is the last day for Fashion for Life. I have a couple other really cute finds that I’ll post in a bit, but for now, just remember that today is the last day of this Relay fashion event – so… GO!

The first day of holiday baking starts out optimistic. So many people on your list, and all of them love cookies!
Except, I keep forgetting that making cookies takes forever.
Somehow, the amount of dough you have to work with never gets any smaller… not on day two
Or day three…
Eventually, all of the cookies are done, packed and ready to be given to your friends and family, which means that it’s time to check on that stocking you left by the fireplace and see if any goodies have magically appeared.
Just be sure you don’t get caught, or they might disappear.
For more stocking shenanigans, there are a few more pictures (and bigger versions of the pics here) on my Flickr.
Items in bold italics are from The Snowflake Experience and are in Toys for Tots vendors.

Okay, I suck at blogging in a timely fashion. However, you have until the 19th to get to Project Donate and … well.. donate. The event is to benefit UNICEF’s relief efforts in Pakistan after the massive flooding that has happened there. Check out some of the cool stuff you can pick up to help a really good cause:
You can find skins (here you can see what Atomic and PXL Creations have to offer), hair (Truth’s Aloha style), clothes (Addict put out this great shirt), and body decorations (AtomicBambi’s body vine is exquisite).

One of the things I love most about Second Life is how everyone comes together in times of need and helps. Regardless of whether it is an established event like Relay for Life, or something new like Project Donate, the Second Life community comes together and gives however they can. I’m very proud to be part of a community like this one, so I’m embarrassed and seriously angry at myself for not getting to blogging about Project Donate sooner (and more frequently). (more…)
