Just another day on the savannah
So, I was wandering around and I found this lion looking out over his territory. Naturally, I thought the best way to approach was to sneak up on him – what could possibly go wrong? (It was either that or run at him yelling “kitty!” – I thought this would work better.)
It took a little while, but now we’re the best of friends. He gives the very best cuddles.
He even supports my shopping habits. As out of control as they can be at times. You can get your own lion at the Zodiac event – if you can get there before it closes tonight. I’ve been having problems teleporting. It’s from Studio Sidhe – I don’t know if it will be available after the event. My shoes (Handverk) and skin (Candydoll) are also from the Zodiac event. I think the awesomeness of the shoes are pretty self-explanatory… they’re claw pumps!
Now, for a closer view of this great new skin from Candydoll. The eye shading is so wonderfully dreamy and soft. I did add freckles from Essences and Glam Affair, but that’s it. My favorite feature though, has got to be the mouth. The barest hint of teeth opens the mouth just enough, but not too much – you know what I mean?

Platinum Hunting – Skins!
If you’re reading this, chances are you have also read about the Platinum Hunt once or twice already. So, you probably have also seen some of the great prizes offered, and you’re probably jumping all over doing this hunt even through any lag that might come up. (My apologies, I haven’t fought the lag, I was lucky enough to be included in the blogger’s preview, which I really really appreciate and not just because I’m not the best hunter on the grid.)
I have a confession, which really isn’t much of a surprise, I’m a skin junkie and if I can get my fix from creators/styles that are new to me, that’s even better (more to keep checking out down the road.) Generally, I like my skins on the pale side, with a healthy dose of freckles, but I will make an exception if I love the nose, or if the colors are great, or something like that. This hunt has 9 female skins (from Ispachi, Candydoll, Mons, Rockberry, Mynerva, dekade, Glam Affair, Heartsick, and slutcookie) and 1 male skin (from Ispachi), all of which are very well done. I’ve taken pics of 6 of them to give you an idea of what you can find. I know, for myself, after trying these on I went to pick up demos of the full lines in some of the stores I hadn’t been to before.
In order, from the top (since the row cuts are different based on where you are reading this) the skins shown are from: Candydoll, Ispachi, Glam Affair, Mynerva, Rockberry and dekade. In the Mynerva and Rockberry pics you can also see the beautiful Diamond hair in Wild Pink and Platinum (respectively) – the fatpack of this hair is the hunt prize at Magika!
With so many great designers involved in this hunt, it is one that has been on my to-do list since I first heard about it, and I’m so excited about the prizes to be found! I’m equally as excited to show them here. No, I won’t be showing each and every thing in the hunt, but a pretty sizable sampling (and more can always be found on my Flickr). Each prize is 10L, and well worth it (my opinion, but since this is my blog, my opinion is the one that matters mwahahaha…ahem…sorry, I’m better now).
